Imagination

This is my last project using Swirlydoos March kit, "Butterfly Whispers".

Here are the details.
I've added a strip of netting and ric-rac on the bottom of the photograph.

I've used the "square flower" technique to create some flowers and add it among some Prima flowers.

I've stamped some wordings on the photograph and attach a resin banner on the right of the layout.

I've cut out some butterflies from the pattern paper and attach it to the layout.

I've used some Prima flowers and "square flowers" to form the bouquet on the left of the layout. I've also added a swirly pearls and crystals underneath all the flowers.

I've used the chipboard alphas to form the title.

Hope you all like this layout. I'm currently working on Swirlydoos April's kit. It's a super gorgeous kit. I can't wait to share the projects with you all.

At The Crop Spot!

This week's tutorial is a unique one. I've created a layout which basically used tons of stickers to create dimensions, designs and textures. I know most of us do not favor flat stickers when it comes to scrapping but at times, if you put some twists into it, it can make your layout look amazing and unique. Check out the details at The Crop Spot for the how-tos.

Ok, here's the surprise as promised! Scrapbooking Supplies R Us is having another giveaway! This giveaway consists of products to recreate the project below.

So, check out the giveaway now at The Crop Spot. Good luck everyone!

Hiro fans!

It's time to talk about Hiro again. He is 43 weeks now. This week, he has been very cheeky. He tried all kinds of ways to get our attention which included licking my laptop screen...lol! We loves it when anyone chase after him and he would play the chase and trick part in the process. Recently, I've noticed that there are more droplets of his saliva around his designated areas. Is there a reason for that? Normally there are some but not as much as this week. Does your dog leaves tons of saliva all around your house?

Tomorrow, I'll be posting about another post of mine on The Crop Spot and there will be a surprise too! Make sure you check back tomorrow for it! Have a fun weekend!

Love Your Life Completely

This is my third layout using Swirlydoos March kit, "Butterfly Whispers". It's a layout Ryan.

Here are the details.

I've used a music notes masking template and some distress ink with water in a mini mister to create the masking on the background.
I've stamped some mosaic images on the corners using distress ink. Detail it with a little Stickles.

Layer a strip of sepia negative strip vertically on the left of the layout.

I've cut out a strip of the velvet paper and use it to create the belt with a metal buckle on the lower right of the layout.

I've used a rub-on to form the title and doodle some zig-zag stitches on each of it's sides.

I've used the "Egg Shape Flower" technique to create the flowers and cut out some butterflies from the pattern paper to attach on the layout.

I'll continue to share my last project using this kit next week. Keep an eye for it.

If you're on facebook, feel free to add me and chat with me there. I always love to hear feed backs and get to know some of you. Have a great weekend!

Egg Shape Flower

Recently, while creating my layout using Swirlydoos kit, I want to come up with a flower that is easy and would suit a boy's layout. I know most of us don't mind using any kind of flowers for our boys layout but at times, I just want to create a more boyish look for my son's layout.

Therefore, I've come up with this idea of the "egg shaped flower". It's very much like the usual circles layering flower but this is in the shape of ovals and for better details, I've done some circular swirl stitches on it to attach the layers together. I've also stamped some detail on the piece that is in the middle of the flower.

Try it in your next boy layout or even better, some "egg shape flowers" for an easter layout! Have fun!

Published in Scrapbook Creations!

Before I continue to share my next project with Swirlydoos kit, I would like to share this recent little  "toot" of mine.

Finally, I've got myself published in an Australian magazine! Yes, one of my layout had been published in Scrapbook Creations issue 74.

And they've published it on one full page! How awesome is that? I'm so honored! Perhaps this is my first step into the Australian market and hope I could teach there someday! If you would like to show some support for me and get a copy of the magazine, you could get it here.

As for you all who reads Swedish scrapbooking magazine, take a look at this month's issue. I will share the news when my copy is here. I'll continue with Swirlydoos project tomorrow.

Beauty

This is my second project using Swirlydoos March's kit, "Butterfly Whispers". In this layout, I've used the velvet paper with the netting to create the "circle flowers".

Here are the details.

I've sprayed the netting with some glimmer mist to add colours to it before attaching it to the layout.
I've used the doodling technique to "balance" the look of the layout. I've drawn circles and frames on the layout and detail them with "Shimmerz" and Stickles.
I've painted the chipboard swirl with some white acrylic paint. I've also use the Swirlydoos "Swirlybitz" to create some details on it by wrapping it and forming designs around it with it's metal wires.
I've added some velvet strips and ric-rac on the top of the layout. On the velvet strips, I've create some faux bow by using small strips of velvet paper and a mini brad.
To form the circle flowers, simply just cut different sizes of circles from the pattern paper and the velvet paper. Also cut out a small piece from the white netting to add it on top of the flower. Attach all three pieces together using a brad.
Cut out some butterflies from the pattern paper and fold their wings up before attaching it to the layout.
I used the chipboard alphas to form the title. I've also inked part of their edges before adding them to the layout.

Hope you all like this second layout. I'll be posting more projects on this kit soon. Check back for it.

Mini at The Crop Spot!

This week's project at The Crop Spot is a total new project to me. It's my first wood album on my wedding pictures. This project features the wood mosaic album by Kaisercraft and the super gorgeous papers of the "Mr & Mrs" line by TPC Studio. Besides that, I've also used some beautiful embellishment by Prima, Harmonie, Maya Road and Hambly.

I'll be posting a full week of tutorials at The Crop Spot on this mini album. Hope you all follow along and have fun!

I'll be sharing details on my next teaching trip very soon. Keep an eye for it! For those of you who are on facebook, feel free to add me and chat with me there!

Woof! Woof!

Hiro is already 43 weeks old. I just love how he looks in the picture above. He is such a charming pup! His eyes is just mesmerizing. His shedding has slowly reduce and it seems like his fur is growing back.

Above is a picture captured while he is doing his morning stretching. Doesn't he look serious when he is doing it?
After his morning stretch and exercise, he gobbled up his breakfast in minutes. Recently we've changed his kibbles because he refuse to eat puppy sized kibbles. He will only eat adult dog sized kibbles. Guess he likes it when he needs to crunch and munch the bigger kibbles.

Tomorrow, I'll continue to share more projects using Swirlydoos March kit. Check back for it!

In Love

This is my first DT project using Swirlydoos March's kit, "Butterfly Whispers". It's a kit that is jam packed with gorgeous Prima papers and specialty papers by SEI and Creative Imaginations.

Here are the details.

I've stamped the die-cut paper (white dots) with some mosaic stamps using various distress inks and detail it with Stickles.
I've hand stitched the sides of the layout to create a frame look to it.

I've inked a die-cut fourish with some distress ink and add it to the left of the layout. Dress it up with some Stickles.

Add some flowers to the flourish and use the "Freshen Up your Flowers" technique on them.

Cover the chipboard "Love" with glossy accents after inking it's edges with distress ink.
Cut out some butterflies from the pattern paper and ink their edges with distress ink. Fold up it's wings before attaching it to the layout.

I've added doplets of glossy accents and liquid pearls all over the layout to create the "magical" look to it.

On the upper right of the layout, add a strip of pattern paper with a strip of lace on it. Detail it with a flower.

Hope you like this layout and keep checking back for more layouts from me using this kit. Have a great weekend ahead.
