Art, Create, Inspire Altered Project

Today, I would liked to share this little altered project with you all. It's also a published project in Scrapbooking m.m. in March. I've used Clear Scraps acrylic coasters and tons of Tim Holtz signature products to create this altered hanging piece.

Here are the details on each of the coasters.

I hope this altered project will give you an inspiration or two. Just remember, "Scrap with your heart and don't forget to have fun too!"

For those of you who had emailed me about not being able to access The Crop Spot yesterday for the tutorial, I'm very sorry. Their site had been hacked and being forced to shut down but now, they've restored everything back to normal. Feel free to check their site for the tutorial anytime you want.

Thank you everyone!

Thank you very much for all the caring and emails asking about Hiro's situation. Some of you had asked me, "what is cataract?". As I've posted last week, it's a kind of disease that caused a cloudy substances to develop in the eye which will either make one's vision blurry or even blind them. Some humans do develop cataract when they are old but it could be cured with the modern technologies these days. In Hiro's case, it is not advisable for surgeries because his case of cataract is called "inherited cataract". It is not normal for young dogs or pups to develop cataract. They are normally caused by diabetes, accidents or inherited.

You all do not have to worry about him as he is still as cheeky and as active as usual. It does not seem that the defects in his vision has affect him in anyway. However, we do pray that his right eye does not develop full cataract so soon. Thanks again for all the well wishes and caring. Hiro loves you all too and we will make sure that he is well taken care of.

Hiro has Cataract!

I've promised to come back here to post about the outcome after taking Hiro to the vet today. It's confirmed that Hiro has cataract! The vet has done of tests on him and she is convinced that he has "Inherited Cataracts". It is just not common for dogs of such young age to get cataracts. You all could read more on cataracts through this link. The family is very sad about this news but there's really not much we can do. As per the vet, there are very few successful cases in cataract surgeries for dogs especially if they are inherited cataracts. We're just not ready to go through the roller coaster ride of emotion and him having to go through difficult and painful treatments.

He will not totally loss his vision. As per the vet, his vision will just be more blurry than normal dog and if kept in safe environment, he will be fine. It won't affect his health. Thanks to all of you who had prayed and care for Hiro's situation. We will make sure he is well taken care of.

Worrying Week!

This week has been a worrying week for us. Remember this picture that I've shared about two weeks ago? We did not noticed that until this last few days. We always thought that it was just a reflection of light or something, but it seems to be in his eye. Try to look at his left eye. There is a small white dot in it. We're still unsure what it is but we will be bringing him to the vet tomorrow. We're just praying that it's nothing serious but we've asked around and it seems that this might be a very serious issue. Let us all pray for him that it could be cured or it's nothing permanent for him. I'll post an update on his situation once we get a confirmed result from the vet on this. Thanks to all of you that cared for Hiro!

I'm back!

I'm finally back home from Singapore! The whole family is very tired but had enjoyed every minute of our time there! Below are some pictures to share.

Thank you very much to all of you who had made my two workshops so successful. Hope that you all had enjoyed the classes. Below are some pictures taken during the workshop and with some amazing ladies that I've met.

A very thank you to Made With Love for organizing such a pleasant and wonderful teaching experience for me in Singapore! Hope I'll be teaching in Singapore again soon! If any of you had taken pictures during the workshops, feel free to email them to me as I would love to scrap a mini album using them.

I'm really sorry for those of you who are not able to get a seat to attend any of my workshops this round. Perhaps, you all could give your names to MWL, just in case there is another opportunity for me to teach there again....*hint*....*hint*..

Layers Of Color Blog Hop!

Welcome to Layers of Color New Stencils Release party blog hop! I'm so honored to be guest designing for them and join in with their new release party.

I'm sure for those of you who had follow along the hop has been inspired by the amazing team of designers of LOC! My blog would be your last hop before you return to Layers of Color blog for more fun!

For this blog hop, I've created the above layout titled " Togetherness" to share with you all. I've used a number of the new release stencils and some stamps by LOC! I'm really in love with those stencils and stamps!!

Here are some details of the layout.

I've used the natural flourish stencil by LOC with distress ink to stencil the image on the lower right of the layout.
I've used the vintage medallion template by LOC to mask on the lower left of the layout.

I've used a set of flower stamps by LOC to create all the flowers on the layout.

I've also used the same set of flower stamp and a set of flourish stamp by LOC to stamp all over the XL acrylic heart shape by Clear Scraps. To enhance the acrylic shape, I've used some alcohol ink to ink on it's edges.

I've used a corner stencil by LOC to stencil a flourish corner on the top right of the layout.

I've even used a stencil to create some images on a cut out butterfly.

All the birds and flourishes are stamped using LOC's stamps.

Hope you all are someway inspired by this layout of mine. Thanks for dropping by my blog and now, hop on back to Layers Of Color blog for more fun and giveaways!
