Hello :) To celebrate Valentines Day my husband and I will be taking our two boys out for a walk in the grounds of a local country house. Wwhen they have gone to bed I will cook a nice meal, we'll open a bottle of wine and play Little Big Planet on the Playstation. Not terribly romantic I know, but it suits us!

Valentine's Day will be spent at home with my sweetie. We will be preparing a special meal of steak and crab legs. We will open a bottle of wine and just relax and enjoy a peaceful time together. Perhaps we will watch a movie or play a game after dinner.

So I don't think I'd want to be hobbling into a restuarant.. LOL Plus its been snowing. Maybe we'll cuddle up and watch a couple movies... Hope you have a great Valentine's Day...

I will be spending my Valentines afternoon watching the Amgen Tour of California at the start/finish Line if I can get that close. This is a big deal bike race for the US this year because Lance Armstrong is coming out of retirement to ride. It will be so cool to be on the race course tomarrow. I missed the race when it came through Sacramento last year because I was recovering from a heart attack. I'm all better now. woo hoo! Melissa

Gorgeous stamps Irene. I can't wait to see what stunning creations you make with them. I spent Valentines Day with my hubby and girls at the Botanical Gardens, with a picnic, and some chocolates (wouldn't be Valentines day without chocolates).

Peggy said...

Ooooh I like these stamps!!!! I've been scrapping for almost a year now, and it took me about six months to buy some stamps, and about as long to finally have the nerve to use it on one of my pages. I'm so scared of using them, I don't want to mess up my projects I guess by doing something wrong which can't be repaired. Anyway, I liked the page with the stamping very much, and I would love to experiment some more!

So, to your question, what will I be doing to celebrate today ... the answer is sad ... NOTHING! My husband is working today, but even if he was at home, we'd still be doing nothing ... he doesn't believe in Valentine's Day, he says it was invented for commercial reasons. Sounds bad doesn't it, but actually it isn't. Luckily he doesn't need Valentine's Day to make Valentine's Day - gestures, he's a sweetheart all year through. I shouldn't have added that last sentence huh, I was actually hoping you'd take pitty on me and let me win those stamps LOL.

Thanks for giving us a chance to win these Irene!
Have a great day, happy scrapping!
xxx Peggy

:) I am being taken out for lunch to my favourite Bistro in a little market town called Devizes here in the south west of England . We go to this Bistro regularly so the chef knows us and he has some wonderful visiting chefs so we are always surprised and delighted to see what they have on the menu that month as it changes all the time depending on season and freshness :)
Then I will be back home crafting for the rest of the afternoon, spending some time playing around with sewing on paper and making a few little row houses for friends :)

Hello there,
love this valentines kit,
What i would like to design with this kit is a l.o. of my baby grandaughter and my son. My son has his major in music , and the musical notes would go great on a l.o. of him and his baby girl, whom he wants her to have the same musicacal background as he has. it would be so awsome to create something with this kit. Irene i have been a follower of your work for a long time, and think your work is awsome.

My husband and I are going to dinner and plan on stopping at Hastings to purchase the new video "Fireproof" We have been through some pretty rough times during the last 4 years and we have made a committment to pay more attention to our relationship. I heard this movie is just what any marriage needs so hopefully we will be re-kindling our relationship that we have had for over 20 years!!

Oh Irene, I need to get on the ball and start ordering these kits, but I always forget until they run out! Ack! Your stamps are just WONDERFUL.

For Valentine's Day... Well, last night I went to bed sick, and while DH and I had plans for this morning/afternoon with a friend, I certainly didn't feel up to that idea, so I sent him along to the friend's while I stayed home, slept in and scrapped this afternoon. I'm in the process of making homemade chicken parmesan for him to come home too. :)

Love this stamp set you designed Irene! I love every one of your pieces. You put so much detail into your work. So much inspiration. Today I got up at 4:30 AM to make sure my house was tidy for company tonight. I left at 7:00 AM to drive 40 miles to the good grocery store...then I had to stop by Hobby Lobby to use my coupons for a Zutter and some 12x24 Cricut mats. When I got home, I marinated some steaks and made a salad before I went to the (scrapbook) store to plan for the next couple of weeks. After, I went to the drugstore to print some pics. Finally, I got home in time to light the fire/candles, change clothes, and have dinner. Finally, I stopped by your blog. Well, my husband says the grill is hot and one guest has already arrived...Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi Irene, Happy Valentine's Day! I absolutely love your work. You have an amazing talent!

My V day was spent at home, as DH was still recovering from a week of fever and tonsillitis. He initially had planned to take me to dinner somewhere special, but we had to cancel it as he was too sick to go and can't really eat :( . So, we had our V day dinner in front of the telly, watched movies and had rice porridge for dinner. I hope he gets well soon.

Take care Irene :)

I have had a doozy of a Valentine's Day. The day started off with lots of little jobs that had to be done, forgot to hang out the washing and it had to be re done, defrosted what I thought were chicken breast but they were thigh cutlets (hubby likes breast) found 1 chicken breast in the freezer went to defrost it but pressed the wrong button and cooked it and melted the plastic bag YUCK.
Fed up by this stage, slammed a couple of doors, poured myself a glass of red, sunk into the lounge chair and pouted. Next minute, hubby walks in with a bunch of flowers. Love him. :)

Cheers, Irene :)
