Friends Acrylic Mini Album

Hello! Good morning! It is a lovely Friday morning here in Malaysia! Are you all ready for another boost of inspiration? For today's post, it is also a first time for me too! It is my first ever acrylic bird cage album. This album features Clear Scraps acrylic bird cage album.

I've used various products from MSD to decorate this album. Here are some details on it's cover.

These flowers are originally white in color. I've lightly misted them with some paint and let it dry completely. This adds a lovely hint of pink to the flowers.

To add more different elements to this album, I've used some chipboard ornate hinges by Clear Scraps. I've used some faux metal techniques to make it look more realistic. Here are the video to my faux metal tutorials. You can also check out a step by step tutorial via this link to create your own faux metal hinges using cardstock.

Besides the hinges, I've also added a Clear Scraps chipboard "Friends" expression and a metal butterfly on it. I've folded the wings up to give it a more dimensional look.

Now, let's move on to the pages in this album.

This album is meant to be a gift journaling album for a friend of mine. Therefore, I tried to add more journaling space in it and keep it simple.

For each page, I've used some pattern papers to create layers and add a journaling piece on it.

Hope you all find this album inspirational and try some of the techniques which I've mentioned today. See you all again soon!

Our Wedding Acrylic Clipboard

I can't believe that each week passes so fast! It's time for another project on my blog. This time, I'm sharing a home decor which I've created as a gift for a friend. I've altered an acrylic clipboard by Clear Scraps

This is a very simple project. I've added some colors to the clipboard using some pattern papers.

I used some flowers and burlap to add some textures and dimensions to it. This is a great and sweet home decor gift to create. If you have to come up with something fast and beautiful for a friend who is getting married, try creating one of this. The acrylic element makes this gift looks gorgeous.

Hope to see you all again soon!

Strength Layout

Hi everyone! For today's post, I've decided to share a mixed media layout with you all. I've used some stamps from Vilda Stamps and acrylic products by Clear Scraps to create this layout.

Below are some details on this layout.

On this layout, I've added tons of different textures using chipboard, trims, metal, acrylic and textured flowers. To make it blend with the layout, I've used some textured paste and tons of paints.

To add more details to it, I've stamped on the layout using tons of stamps and black solvent ink.

To create a distress look on the acrylic "strength" expression, I've first painted it with white acrylic paint and let it dries. Then, I've lightly sand it with a sand paper to remove of the acrylic paint from it.

Hope you all find this layout inspiring and start playing with some mixed media techniques. Thanks for dropping by and see you all again soon!

Magical Spring Acrylic Banner

This is a an old project which I've created years ago. It is an acrylic Spring banner featuring Clear Scraps. I've used various ways to alter each piece of the banner.

Here are some close-ups of it.

In this acrylic butterfly piece, I've first covered it with a piece of overlay and later cut out some flowers from pattern papers to decorate it. In the middle, I've added more overlay and stamped images to detail it.

In this second piece, I've covered the flower with some pattern paper and add a piece of paper doily to the center of it. For the small circle in the middle, I add some magic mesh to it and detailed it with some dimensional liquid pearls. Lastly, I've used some stamped images and stickers to further decorate it.

On this dragonfly piece, I've first embossed its wings and inked it with some solvent ink. Then, I covered its body with pattern papers. For detailing, I've used some stamped images, Stickles and gel pen.

On this last piece of flower, I've first stamped some flourishes on it using solvent ink. To add some colors to it, I've cut out some flowers from pattern papers, add some dimensional liquid pearls and detail it with stamped images.

Spring Bookmarks

Hello everyone! Today. I would like to share two Spring bookmarks which I've created using BoBunny's products. These bookmarks are perfect to use during some Spring reading.

I love the doodled patterns and flowers on the pattern papers and decided to cut them out to use. I use them to layer and create a design on these bookmarks.

I used some markers and jewels to decorate this bookmark. Besides that, I've also added some clear stickers to detail it.

To add some textures to it, I've used some thread to stitching around these bookmarks.

I love using these bookmarks as it reminds me the sweet and beautiful Spring season. Hope you all like it too. Thank you for dropping by and see you all again soon!

Love Forever Layout

Hello friends! I think today's blog post must be a little surprise to some of you. Most of the time, my layouts would feature subjects and happenings around me but this time , it is a bit different. I've used some photographs from a very dear friend of mine. I've decided to create this layout as a gift for her.

This layout features the Doves acrylic 12 x 12 layout by Clear Scraps. Besides that,I've also used a "Love" acrylic expression by Clear Scraps on this layout.

To create more details and textures on the layout, I've also used an ornate flourish border stencil by Clear Scraps and gesso.

For the background, I used a heart stencil and inks to create more layers. To make the doves more visible, I've added a some pattern papers to them. I've added tons of ribbons to this layout to create a more softer look.

For more colors and dimensions, I've added some soft and dimensional flowers to the layout. To make the expression visible, I've added some pattern papers to some of the alphabets and outline the "V" with a permanent marker.

These 12 x 12 acrylic layouts are so fun and easy to create with. I bet everyone has a certain style when it comes to creating layout and at times, we just want a change to it. By using these 12 x 12 acrylic layout, it is so easy to achieve another style in your way. Happy creating!
