A Hot Week!

This week, we did not managed to capture any interesting shot of Hiro. The weather had been so hot this week that we've decided to cut down on his outdoor walks. He is very unhappy about that...lol!

Check back tomorrow for another project of mine at The Crop Spot and don't forget to participate in my blog giveaway!

OK!

This is a layout created using Swirlydoos February kit, "Things Remembered". This is also a layout which I've used a chippy by Dusty Attic.

Here are the details.

I've used the bunny and bird stamps by Vilda Stamps on this layout. I've stamped them on the pattern paper and cut them out.

This is a chipboard vintage key by Dusty Attic. I've misted it with glimmer mist and dress it up with Stickles and a ribbon bow.

I've used the skeleton leaves included in the kit to mask on this layout.

I really love the look of the masked skeleton leaf. I'm trying to play more on this technique. Hopefully I could find more skeleton leaves to experiment.

Have you participated in my blog giveaway? If not, check out the details here.

Irritated

This is a DT layout for Clear Scraps and Stamp Enjoy. I've used some acrylic flowers by Clear Scraps and tons of Stamp Enjoy stamps on this layout. This layout is also a published layout in Scrapstreet Magazine.

Here are some details.

This flower is created using the "Alcohol Ink and Paper Doily Flower" technique.

This bird house is actually a stamp by Stamp Enjoy! Isn't it cute? I've coloured the stamped bird house with Copic markers and Stickles. I've also stitched on some areas on it. I've used a twine to tie the bird house to a branch.

This flower vine is sponsored by Kay's Kreative Korner. I've actually cut this vine into two and use the other piece on the top right corner of the layout to hold the bird house.

Hope you all will have some stamping and inking fun after checking out this layout. Happy experimenting!

Timeless Memories

This layout is created using Swirlydoos February kit, "Things Remembered". It's also a DT layout for Dusty Attic. The key and the ferns are actually chippies by Dusty Attic.

Below are some close-ups on it.

The clear butterflies are actually by Kay's Kreative Korner. The owner sponsored me with some of her gorgeous products to use!

This key is a chipboard key by Dusty Attic. I've first inked it with a dark colour distress ink and later, mist some water over it. Then, I've applied some perfect pearls powder over it and hammer it with a texture hammer. This technique would give you a worn out metal look.

These chipboard ferns had been inked with distress ink and later covered with distress stickles.

Hope you all like this layout and find it inspiring! Remember, for those of you who had help me to spread words of my first ebook publication with links, do post the links in the comment section of this post. I'll be drawing a winner from there.

Valentine Gift Box

I know this project came a bit too late but I guess it will still be perfect for any upcoming occasions such as birthdays, weddings etc. This is a DT project for Bo Bunny. I've used Bo Bunny's Persuasion line to create this box.

Here are some details on it.

I've used some double dots cardstock by Bo Bunny with Tim Holtz tattered florals die cut to create the flowers.

To create the butterfly, I've stamped it on a transparency and cut it out. Then detail it with white paint marker and Stickles.

This is such a easy box to create and perfect for any event. Try it!

Remember, you still have a chance to participate in my blog giveaway! Check it out here!

Drink Up!

It's Monday again and time for me to blog another project with detail tutorial at The Crop Spot! This week's layout is an unusual one. It is very different as compared to my usual style. The inspiration for this project came from the gorgeous and fun papers from K and Company.

Here are some close-ups on it.

I've tried to create a collage art using those papers and embellishment with Hiro's picture. Check out the full tutorial here and create your own collage look layout too!

I would also like to take this opportunity to wish for those of you who are celebrating, have a wonderful and memorable Valentine's Day!

My First Ebook Contribution!!

Hello everyone!

scrapideas ebook cover 498x336

Today, I would like to share a huge first step of mine with you all. Yes! I'm finally into the world of "books"! Ok, not a hard copy one yet but it's still my first step getting there.

My first ever ebook contribution titled "ScrapIdeas" is officially launched!!
Here's the story behind it.

Months ago, I came across an awesome book editor and he told me of his plans to publish a Scrapbooking ebook. The book will feature pro scrapbookers who are based in various countries like Canada, US, Australia, Malaysia, Norway and the Philippines.

I contributed a few of my projects in the book and had shared the stories and thoughts on each of the projects in great depth. The idea was to share with the readers some secrets and tips of how I came to achieve each project.

The publisher gave the contributors of the ebook the rights to share one bonus preview project and my first thought was to share this with my dear blog readers :) And you know, that is you.

To get your exclusive bonus preview copy please go here!

In lieu of this exciting news, I've decided to do a huge blog giveaway!! I'm still picking out the products and the stack is getting bigger and bigger. Just a hint on the giveaway, you will find bunnies in it!!..lol!..What you have to do to participate in this giveaway? Easy. Just talk about this launch everywhere with a link to this post.  It can be on your blog, your facebook, forums, chat groups...etc... Leave comments here showing the links to it and you will be eligible for the draw! The winner will be announced on 15th March.

Share this free bonus preview with all your friends! Happy Reading and help me to celebrate this huge step!

Learning

This double page layout is created using Bo Bunny's fun and gorgeous Learning Curve line! I tried to create a collage feel on this layout using all the cool and fun images and stickers in this line.

Here are some details on it.

On some areas, I've used a white gel pen to create some faux stitches.
I've added tons of stitching on this layout to include some softer element on it.

I've used a die-cut film strip to mask the images on both right and left of the layout.

Hope you all find this layout inspiring! This is definitely a line that I would love to create with again and again!!
