Faith ATC

This is an acrylic ATC that I've created using some of the stamp set that I've designed for QKD. Could you all recognize the bird? It's a stamp from the giveaway that I'm having now. If you're interested in trying your luck in winning it, scroll down to post me a comment about "What would your ultimate summer vacation be?"
Here are the steps to create this ATC.
1) Use a Clear Scraps acrylic ATC as the base for this ATC. Run the ATC through an embossing machine. Ink the embossed images with solvent ink and spread some distress stickles all around the edges of the ATC.
2) Cut out some flourishes from a pattern paper and ink it's edges with distress ink. Add it to the left of the ATC and cover part of it with Glossy Accents.
3) Stamp the bird and the butterfly using solvent or permanent ink on transparency and colour it using markers. I've used some Copic markers to colour them. Cut them out and fold their wings up before adding it to the ATC. Dress them up with Stickles.
4) Add some flowers on the bottom of the ATC and detail them with crystals and Stickles.
Don't you just love how versatile these stamps are? You can use them in lots of ways to add that extra little special touch to your project. Queen Kat Designs is having some mark down sales at the moment. Check them out to grab this chance to own some of your favourite stamps to play with. Have a great weekend everyone!

My ultimate vacation would be to have all 3 of my grandsons, my children & spouses; to accompany my husband and I to a cabin in Colorado. We would spend our time hiking, fishing, riding horses, and at the end of the evening, our private chef would have a meal waiting with whatever each individual wanted (so what if it's 3 or 4 different meals..it's his job). Then, after family had left, hubby and I would spend the remainder of the vacation alone...the chef would have to leave!

Wow this is stunning, a real treasure. Your attention to detail is remarkable. As for your question, maybe I would like to holiday in Malaysia as it must be very inspiring judging by your work! Jane x

Your work is stunning as always Irene. My fav place to spend a summer vacation would have to be to come back to Malaysia as an adult. We lived there for two years when I was a child and I have never forgotten my experiences there. We lived just outside Malacca.

Michelle

Dear Irene,
It never stops to amaze me how God always shows us how much he loves us. While we are busily going about our everyday life, he is constantly expressing His love for us. And your ATC card is a perfect example of that. Let me explain… Your ATC card is an artistic creation of the many details of how beautiful God made the world for us. Like the creation of flowers with their awesome colors, amazing butterflies and the remarkable awe of a seeing a humming bird fly. All we have to do is have faith in Him. How beautifully simple…"What would my ultimate summer vacation be?" To be with my beautiful family and actually enjoy everything that God offers us. To really stop and live everyday as if it was my last. To look at my children sleep, to sleep in with my husband and forget about time. To see life through the eyes of my boys and to have their incredible imagination. BUT I literally wake up everyday running out of bed to do endless tasks, while lying to myself about playing with my boys “tomorrow”… Thank you for a wonderful reminder….

My favorite vacation would be at the beach! And sipping a fruity drink.
