Using Bottle Caps in Flowers

This is actually a technique that was inspired by one of my dear friend who had actually RAK me with some scrapbooking bottle caps. I've not used one of these bottle caps before and are so excited to receive them from her. Therefore, I've decided to try and use it in my latest layout, "Dancing Sticks".

I've actually used a bottle cap as part of a flower in that layout. I've covered the top with a pattern paper and later stamped and inked on it. I've also added some blings on it to give it a little colour. It turn out really well. It had actually added so much dimensions and interest to that flower.

How did you glue the cap on? Your art really inspires me and reminds me that I need to finish my scrapbooking.
Thanks.

Hi there,

the bottle cap is a pre-made raw bottle cap for sb purposes where you can buy from sb stores. It has a thick circle foam adhesive behind it. If you have one yourself and no adhesive, you can buy some thick double sided foam tapes and cut them so that it fits right under the bottle cap. Hope this helps.

I so love your site, infact i sit here for hours admiring your gorgeous work.
Just to say that although i'm a beginner, i adhered upside down bottle tops, with cut out circles & stamped initials in each cap to spell my sons name. I love the different look to scrapbooking.

You are so blessed.

Trish
