Father's Day is so special to me because I remember all the good times that I have spent with my two fathers (step and real). They have both contributed so much to making me the wife and mother I am today!

What a great giveaway!

Father's Day to me is a celebration of Fatherhood-whether a Man is a Father or not- there are those who mentor and are there for other's in that Fatherly way.

My Godfather is just a family friend- but to me he is my inspiration and my wise owl- he always has just the perfect thing to say.

My Father is my Hero, my best friend. I have always embraced his compassion for life.

Thanks for letting me share with you :)

Have a beautiful Sunday and thanks as always for your constant creative inspiration!

xoxo

Wow - I'd love to win a set of these, I can imagine lots of projects I'd like to use them on! Father's day to me means making the effort - just a card is all my dad wants, but it's the effort taken in making it and delivering it in person that's important.

Fater's Day means getting together and spending quality time together as a family. It's not about materialistic things, but simple things such as spending time together and lots of fun and laughter. It also means taking time out to remember my late Dad and realise how lucky I was to have had him............

Father's Day doesnt mean expensive gifts or over priced meals at fancy restaurants. For me it is a simple meal with my family, talking about things in our daily lives, making jokes and laughing, of buying my father his fav ice cream potong, durian and hokkien mee and asking him to take a break from the normal tasks that he does like ironing. It is nothing that out of the ordinary but i know my father loves these moments the best and he loves to have us all together and thats what matters the most, my family together on fathers day.

very cool stamps, as always! Father's Day is really a day for the family as a whole to get together. My father passed away when I was 18 and my grandfather passed a few years later. So now the family just gets together to catch up.

Hi Irene

I love your work. I am from Adelaide - so am I eligible for the stamp giveaway?

Father's Day is about showing your gratitude for everything fathers do every day for us and our children.

To me, Father's Day means honor thy father. This year, especially, I will honor my father once again. His health is not well, he has 84 years under his belt, and he really misses my mother and would love to be with her. So, this year, especially, I will honor my father once again because it just may be the last year he is with us.

To me Father's Day is a special day to remind us of the special and important men in our life, be it our own father or our children's father. It's a great way to honour these men, but of course we can do it in any day of the year!

Hi Irene,

Father's Days is all about memories to me. The kind we had of our our dad's when we were kids AND the new memories we create with our kids.

Today we had a great lunch with all the dad's in the family and the kids were learned that today is memory they will treasure always.

Hi Irene, thanks for the chance to win.

To me, father's day serve as a reminder that not only moms are great but the dads too!

However, I hardly celebrate father's day on the actual day itself as now it become too commercialised. Instead, I love spending quality time with both my parents during weekend. I feel, it need not this special day to show gratitude...

father's day is remembering what our fathers mean to us. it is a day of sharing and reminiscing what the true meaning of fatherhood really is. just like christmas, today is a holiday for the man in our lives... it is a day for honoring their sacrifices and the hardship they do just to meet their family's needs.

Father day to me is always being there, as a child my father had his faults but he was always there for me, his silent strengh helped me through many challenges. Now as an adult he is still there for me, I can talk freely and knows he does not judge. For me fathers day means being there!.

Hi Irene, thanks for this awesome gift! I wish I could tell you what father's day means to me but I never meet my dad. I am lucky to have a wonderful husband and awesome father to my two children. He is the best dad any kid could have...he had two other children from a previous marriage and I can honestly say that the reason I fell madly in love with him is because how he took care of his two girls...for that He will always have a very special place in my heart. I wish I had a daddy like my hubby...

The stamps look wonderful.

To me, Fathers Day means thinking about all the wonderful things my Dad has done for me, and still does, and thanking him for it. It's a day to focus on why I love him.

To me Father's day is a time to reflect on all of the wonderful and not so wonderful times I have had with my Daddy. Growing up I never fully understood the long hours and the sore muscles. He taught me what a man is and how a man should treat a women and his children. Because of him I wouldn't settle for anything less than the man I married.

Chris said...

Father's Day is a celebration of Dad's, both traditional and non-traditional forms. Not only do I celebrate my biological father, but I also celebrate the other men in my life who helped to raise me. Father's Day isn't the end-all, be-all of celebrating our dads... At least it shouldn't be. But on this one day, just the same as we celebrate our life on our birthday, we take the time to celebrate the guy who has been exceptionally remarkable in our childhood and forward.

On Father's Day I wish all the Dads I know a Happy Day, cus my dad is no longer around. I think of him too, with love.

Ohh....these are just gorgeous!!!! Father's Day means remembering my Dad who died when he was only 46 years old and he was so very much loved by not only my Mom and I, but by so many other people...he was AMAZING!

Father's Day is all about honoring that wonderful man who is going to teach your babies what kind of man they should be when they grow up. Or what kind of man they should marry when they grow up. My husband is such a great guy and his example is sure to lead our daughters to a loving man that will protect and provide for them ..... hopefully many many years from now. Dads are so important! It's a day for saying thanks for loving me unconditionally, worrying about me, caring for me, and teaching me that I can do anything and always have your support.

Oh, look at those wonderful butterflies! Great design - would love to create a layout with those stamps for sure!

Now that I have my own kids, father's day is especially wonderful. My 3 children are all age 4 and under so we were all up early (5am!) to make home made cards and a special breakfast (2 hardboiled eggs, a bagel and of course - coffee) that daddy could enjoy in bed (which we all ended up sharing). Watching the way my husband looks at each one of my children - his children - with such adoration - is something that cannot be put into words. Now I know how my own dad felt about me and my siblings.

Hi Irene.

Father's Day to me is just simply another reminder to remember the truly amazing father that I have been blessed with. The older I get, the more I truly appreciate just how wonderful a man my father is. I try to remember this at least once each day and say 'thank you' to my creator for my dad (as well as my other family, friends and many blessings).

Thank you for being such a wonderful inspiration for creativity and a loving person (this really shows through in your work).

By the way, these stamps are gorgeous! I just placed my first order with QKD and I can't wait for it to arrive!!!

Here at home, everyday is Father's Day. :D But seriously, Father's Day is when we kids (and grandkids) give Pa extra attention and gifts, aside from what we give him the rest of the year. :D And it's nice doing so knowing that, on this day, many other people all over the world are also giving their fathers the extra attention they deserve. :)

I spend Father's Day trying to remember what your voice sounds like, your smile, your laughter. I try to remember your excitement when you see your 4 grandboys walking through your door. I try remember your funny boots that you wear to the barn and when you put bread sacks on the boys' shoes to try to keep them clean (didn't help much.) I spend the day remembering sooo many moments in which you impacted our lives.

Love those stamps! Funky butterfly! =)

Father's Day is all about my dad, who has passed in 2000 & my husband. We as a family, visit my dad at the cemetary & spend the day at home just enjoying being home, not running around & hang out w/just us. We are a family that's always on the go, so for us to 'slow it down' for a bit... is just heaven for us & our girls!! We play games or watch a movie all cuddled up together. Just enjoying our day =)

Father's Day...for me it's a day of sorrow, remembering how much I used to long for a caring father as a child (oh, he is alive...just not for me...)but nowadays I celebrate the man who is, in heart and action, "my father" as well as my children's "grandfather". Bengt-Ã…ke, we all love you!!
I keep my fingers crossed for a chance to win theese gorgeous stamps!!

My own father died a few years ago, but my son is now the father of two children with one more on the way. Father's Day is the celebration of men and their true importance in raising children. Fathers show their children how to be both strong and soft, moral and open-minded. Fathers teach boys how to love females; fathers teach girls that they are lovable. Many men meet the challenges of fatherhood without having had a good example to follow. I cherish all men who try to be the best father they can be.

SuZeQ said...

Father's Day shouldn't be a 'special' day - a day where we honor our fathers, send cards, give gifts and make phone calls. EVERY day should be Father's Day! Fathers are very special men that helped bring us into the world and raised us to the best of their abilities and love us unconditionally. I am very fortunate to still have my father in my life, but I know his time on earth is dwindling as he ages. To me, Father's Day is every day. Not a day goes by that I don't honor him and love him for who he is and his involvement in my life.
