Happy Mother's Day Card

This is my last GDT project for Creative Cuts and More. It's a Mother's Day Card to go along with the layout as a gift to my mom this coming Mother's Day. I've used CCM's die cut card, hardware and some flowers.
Here are the steps to it.
1) Use CCM's die cut card ad the base for this card. I've embossed it using an embossing tool and ink all over it with some distress ink. Do not emboss the strip of card stock that comes with the die cut card.
2) Add a strip of lace on the edges of the left flap of the card from the inside.
3) Cut out a long rectangular strip from a pattern paper and ink it's edges with distress ink. (Make sure it's a little longer than the length around the card) I've folded two pleats on this strip and ink the folded edges with distress ink. Add some hand stitches to it to hold the pleats in place. Wrap this strip around the card.
4) Ink the edges of the strip of card stock that comes with the die cut card and wrap it around the card on top of the earlier strip.
5) Paint a die cut chipboard buckle from CCM with some white acrylic paint and add it to the card with a strip of sheer ribbon. I've also cut out a tag from a white card stock and add the sentiment there. Cover the sentiment with some glossy accents.
6) Ink the edges of some die cut flowers from CCM and add it to the card. Detail it with some liquid pearls.
7) Stamp the image onto a white card stock and ink it using the "Distressed Background using Masquepen" technique and the crayon resist technique. Cut it out and add some liquid pearls to it.
8) Mat the above stamped piece onto a pink card stock and later on another layer of white card stock which had been cut to fit the size as an insert in between the card.
9) Print a quote on vellum and cut it out. Punch a strip of holes on it's upper edge and paste it to the card. Hand stitch along the holes.
This card is created with loads of love and feminine touches to resemble how a mom would normally nurture her child. I would love to share the quote that I've added in the card with all the moms out there.
"My Mom is a never-ending song in my heart of comfort, happiness and being. I may sometimes forget the words but I always remember the tune." ~ Graycie Harmon

Hope you all have a memorable Mother's day this May!
