Poor Hiro!

Recently Hiro had a tummy infection and could not eat for days. We were so heart broken to see him in this condition. He did not improved until after 3 days from his visit to the vet. Now, he is slowly eating and getting back to his normal mischievousness. He had lost a ton of weight due to the infection. You could see his face all sad and tired from the above picture.

If you ask me how he gets his tummy infection? I have no idea. I've asked the vet and she says there are various possibilities that could result in a tummy infection. If you have any experience on this, feel free to share them here. I would love to learn more about this and hopefully would be more aware of it in future.

The symptoms are having diarrhea (watery greenish) and refuse to eat. Anything he takes in, will be out in minutes. Hope I could learn a tip or two on this disease.

Aww..poor little guy. Wish I could give some insight to you on this. I own 2 dogs from when they were puppies (one still a pup) and they have never had a stomach infection before. Maybe it's something he chewed then swallowed and it got lodged in his belly and made him sick? I have a friend, and their dog got really sick to it's stomach for a week, found out he swallowed some pantyhose and it was bound up in his intestines. Their dog ended up having surgery.

What a cute puppy! Puppies chew and get into everything! I hope he didn't get into some kind of poison. He could also be chewing on something that contains alot of lead....such as exterior house paint. Poor thing. I hope it doesn't happen again.

Poor Hiro, a tomach infection is teribel for a puppy. But it is inpossibel to say what it was.
I did give my dog always cooked chickenbrest with some rice so that he eat what more and he liked it. The best for Hiro and also for you. Nothing is so hard than seeing your dog so sick.

greetings, Andrea

Poor Hiro. I hope things improve and there are no more infections.

My one year old 2 pound puppy is at the emergency hospital. We came home from breakfast yesterday to find her almost unconscious on the floor. After driving her 70 miles to an emergency clinic, we got her seen and bloodwork done. It looks like she has been sick for a very long time, with no visible symptoms. Puppy, Snow, appears to have problems with her kidney and liver.

All the best to you and Hiro.
