Another Valentine ATC
This is another Valentine ATC that I've created for a great friend of mine. For the background, I've distressed the edges of the pattern paper using the scissors distressing technique. I've also created my own torn square template and use it to do a multi-layer masking on it. I've use some distress ink (spice marmalade, vintage photo, brushed corduroy and black soot) to do it.
Then I've added some stamping on it. To add a soft touch to it, I've used a sheer ribbon on it.

I have noticed that you use alot of inking in your creations. Did you take a class somewhere or did you just learn by trial and error? What are the 3 inks you reach for time and time again???
Thanks for sharing
Danisha
Hi Danisha,
I've not taken any class anywhere. I'm more of a self learner or should I say I love to experiment with stuffs...lol! well, my most common colours would be Tim's distress ink (black soot, frayed burlap and vintage photo). But it would be great if you throw in an extra colour which will make your work pops (more vibrant colours). Hope this helps!
.......as always...your techniques are wonderful....your ART is a MASTERPIECE!...Thanks so much for sharing!!PS....when you find a publisher...I will be first in line for a COPY!!
Love the bright colour background.
Very shinny look.
Wish that you can have your own book too. I will be love to buy it.
GORGEOUS ATC IRENE LOVE THOSE YUMMY COLOURED INKS YOU USED!
Hi Irene :>) I imagine being self taught makes you more original which is the thing I like about your work. Thanks for the low-down on the designer situ, I'm off to check them out.
Oh and boohoo for not picking out of the hat this time, maybe next time. {Hugs}
