Enjoy The Little Things

Time really flies! It's already the sixth day of the Chinese New Year celebration. I guess, in another glance of time, it will be over. The kids will be back in school soon.

Today, I wish to share with you all my first DT layout for Swirlydoos February Kit, "From Venice with Love". This kit is packed with gorgeous products from 7Gypsies, Creative Imaginations and Prima.

Here are some of the details to it.

I've used some rub-ons to add some details and the title to the upper right of the page.
I've attached some flowers on the bottom of the heart and the top middle of it.

I've added some die-cut flowers on stems to bring some heights to the flourishes. I've also decorated it with rhinestones and Stickles.

On the huge chipboard heart, I've used some crackle paint to paint it and ink it's edges with distress ink. Then, I've punch some holes all around it and use two strips of ribbons to weave on it. Tie a ribbon bow where two ends of the ribbons meet. Use some liquid pearls to dress up the heart.
Use the square stamps to stamp on a white cardstock with distress ink and cut it out. Ink around it with distress ink and add it to the bottom left and right of the layout with foam adhesives.

Hope you all like this layout and if you take a closer look on the distress inks that I've used on this layout you will noticed that it's one of the "NEW" colours, "Rusty Hinge", that had just been released during last Winter CHA. I really love all the new colours and can't wait to introduced them to you all through all my new projects and future workshops. I'll be sharing more projects with Swirlydoos kit soon.

Sources: Products included in the kit: Pattern Papers: Creative Imaginations, 7Gypsies; Stamps: Prima; Embellishments: Prima rhinestones,  Ranger Crackle Paint, Technique Tuesday chipboard heart, May Arts wired beads, Prima flowers; Others not included in the kit: Bazzill Cardstock, Ranger Crackle Paint, Ranger Liquid Pearls, Ranger Distress Inks, Ranger Stickles, ribbons, dis cut flowers, Urban Lily rub-ons, K&Co rub-ons, floss for stitching, Glue Dots and other adhesives.

Lovely LO as always. I like the way you find new ways of sewing with ribbons.

I wish you a nice weekend!

Irene, I love this layout, as always. The dogwood blossoms are beautiful. I got my inks last weekend. My hubby bought all of the new ones for me for my birthday. All the colors are great. I did a new layout last weekend and used your technique of using the glassy glaze and alcohol inks on acrylic. I hope you go look at
