I'm still Me

This is a layout on Ryan's now and then photographs. The baby photograph was taken when he is merely a year old and the other was taken during his fourth birthday.

The inspiration for the layout came to me when I've thought about how much Ryan has grown and he 's such a star in my heart.

I've used the masking, stenciling and doodling techniques throughout the whole layout to create the stars and the frame.

As for the flower, I've individual hand cut the petals out of card stocks and later inked, stamped and doodled on it. I've layered it with another star. To lift the petals, I've used some brads to attached the petals down.

I've used a vellum to create the pocket here and I've created a transparency tag to go with it.

I've also covered the chipboard photo corner and the "ME" chipboard letters with pattern papers and later stenciled some stars on it.

Christmas Star Card

This Christmas Star 3D card is actually inspired by one of my blog reader who had actually emailed me for my previous Christmas tree card templates. She had asked me about making another 3D Christmas card which are more simple and can be fit into standard envelopes.

With that, I've taken sometime to think about it and decided to give it a go. I was thinking since my previous Christmas tree card is a standing one, this round I might just want to do a hanging one instead. Therefore, I've decided to do the Christmas star design.

To make this card, simply save the template above and you can enlarge it or even shrink it if you want. Print two pieces of the template onto any of your card stocks or thick pattern papers. Then cut it out.

You can add some details using stamping, inking, doodling, embellishing, embossing or even painting on it. Then punch holes on all the outer tip of the star template. This is to enable you to thread your ribbon through later. You have to punch some holes on the top tip of the stars too in order for you to tie a ribbon or thread for hanging purposes.

On my Christmas star card, I've written my wishes on a small tag and tied it to the ribbon knot in the center of the card.

This card can be folded flat for mailing purposes and the recipient can either keep it or even hang it for display on their tree. I hope that I've not done badly to answer that particular request.

Beautiful Smile

This is a layout about my most recent obsession. Recently, I've found out that I just can't miss Chloe's beautiful smile. I'm always trying to get her smile this beautifully. The smile just melts my heart so bad.

I've used the colours in the photograph on my layout. The inspiration for this page is simply to frame that beautiful smile of Chloe. Therefore, I've used a circular design framing here. The big circle is cut out using two shades of brown card stocks.

I've created some of the flowers from handmade papers and I've used an old costume jewellery to anchor that huge flower. The flourishes are combination of hand doodling and some stamping.

I've also used two chipboard scrolls to make the bug heart on the left. In the lower right hand corner, I've used a temporary bling tattoo to add more bling to the page!

Altered Wooden Snowflakes

This is my latest project. Altering wooden snowflakes! A friend of mine is so kind to send me two of the wooden snowflakes for me to experiment with it. I've actually not much experience in altering but these wooden snowflakes are so much fun and would love to make something out of it to decorate my Christmas tree this year.

I've attached pattern paper to both snowflakes after I've stamped and doodled on them. For the first red snowflake, there are actually three layers. I've stamped a floral stamp on a card stock and cut it out for the second layer. I've add some doodling on it too. As for the third layer, I've hand drawn a snowflake on a white card stock and cut it out. I've added some blings on it to give some sparkle effect to it. I've used some of my favourite photographs to attached from the back of the second layer.

The second brown snowflakes has three layers too. The second layer is a long legged star where I've cut out from a card stock. The third layer is a fold in four point star where I've stamped, inked and doodled on it. On every layer, I've stamped and doodled some gold on it to add some details to it. The photographs are attached from the back of the third layer.

This two snowflakes are so fun to create and alter. There's nothing more special on my tree than this two snowflakes that truly displayed some personalization and the love of my life. It is kinda a photographs display too on my tree where I can easily show it to all my friends and family!

Christmas Tree Card

This a Christmas Tree card That I've made. The idea of making this card had been inspired by my friend, Linda and the original designer of this idea is Sandi Genovese. This is a 3 dimensional card which can be fold flat for mailing purposes.

The fun part of creating this card is you could totally embellished it with anything you want. On my card, I've made some pearl ornaments and use some small wooden Christmas embellishment to decorate it.

To soften the look, I've tied some ribbons on it and add a felt snowman embellishment to it too.

The green paper that I've used for the triangle tree is a velvet green paper. I've done some dry embossing to it and add some crafting foam dots, decorative stars and sequins to it.

As for the swirl, I've stamped and inked the edges. I've also written my messages on it.

For the top of the tree, I've make a small cone out of card stock and then attached a star on both side of it.

This is such a fun card to make and I bet any recipient would be amazed with the design.

I'm "1"

This is a layout on Chloe's first birthday. The inspiration for this layout is from the photographs. I've used the colours and the mysterious feel of the photographs in this layout.

First of all, I've used the 3D blocking techniques here. (Refer to my topic "3D Blocking techniques" in my tips and tricks section)

Secondly, I've used the "Using Flowers within Flower" technique for the huge bloom in my layout. (Refer to my tips and tricks section)

I've used various chipboard pieces in this layout. I've painted the flourishes chipboard pieces and stamped it. I've also used some chipboard letters to create the title.

I've piled up three heart shape tags or frames and used various different pattern papers and vellum to add some colours and interest to it. To soften the look, I've used some fibers to tie them together to part of the chipboard flourishes.

In this layout, I've also doodled as well as using some flourishes rub-ons on the photographs. I've also hand doodled the huge white flourishes on the lower left hand corner.

It has been interesting doing the 3D blocking design! Try it!
