Giveaway at The Crop Spot!

Snow Melt Together Mini Album

This is a mini snowman album that I've created using Clear Scraps last CHA release, mini acrylic snowman album. I've used various techniques to create this mini album. Below are some close-ups and pages in it.

On the front cover, I've stamped some snowflakes using a Glue Pad and sprinkle some silver glitters all over it.

I've used the "Ice Stickles to Create Frost" technique on all the top edges of everything to create the frost look on this mini album.

If you have a long title for a mini album and could not fit on the front cover, simply add it to the back of the cover to make the album more interesting. For the second page, I've embossed the acrylic and sand it on it's back to give it a frost look.

On the fourth page, I've stamped on it with a snowflake stamp and some black solvent ink.

On the fifth page, I've stamped some snowflakes using distress ink on the paper. I've also add a tag in between page 5 and 6.

I've added Ice stickles on everything on these pages.

I really love how this mini snowman album turns out. The Ice Stickles really does the work and the shape of the album tells it all. Why not try creating one of this mini album during this winter? It will be such a fun project to create and share it with your little ones.

Ice Stickles to Create Frost

I think some of you had gotten the idea of creating an icy effect on your project by using white gesso through my last project at The Crop Spot, This time, I've used another medium with a little sparkle to create the frost on my project. It's the "Ice Stickles" by Ranger. It comes in various colours to coordinate with your project. Here's a link to all the colours available.

Simply just apply a good amount of Ice Stickles on the top edges of anything to create a frosty look to it. The mixtures of glitters in an Ice Stickles is just perfect to create the look. To create a thicker frost, just apply more. This will be an instant frost on your projects. If you have not tried this product, you should. It gives such a cool effect.

First Crop Spot Post in 2010!!

Happy 2010! It's time for me to share my first post at The Crop Spot for year 2010! I bet it's all cold and snowing for some of you at this time of the year. This week, I'm sharing a project which I've tried to create the icy effect on it using some mediums. It's a fun layout to create even though we're having such a hot weather here now. Today I'm also packing up some projects to be sent to Clear Scraps for their booth at CHA. I'm so excited and looking forward to attend my first CHA show soon! Happy New Year!

Happy 2010 everyone! Here's wishing all of you a great start into this New Year!!

Hiro is already 32 weeks and he is one happy puppy this week. He had got some yummy presents during this Christmas and love it! He is really getting smarter and smarter each week. Now, he can open a sliding door himself and is able to let us know whenever he needs to go out to pee or poop. But the most interesting incident happened this week. He took down the bidet in the bathroom and somehow manage to get it spraying water everywhere in the bathroom. It seems liked he is playing with a water sprinkler. Gosh, you all have no idea how wet is our bathroom and even the area just outside it.....LOL! But I guess he had loads of fun with it. Now, we have to make sure that the tap to the bidet is always turn off.

On the other hand, it has been a week full of nervousness for us too. We took Ryan for his grade one orientation this week. It ended up me getting more nervous than him...LOL! I can't believed how much had changed since my time in school. Guess I'm really getting old. On Monday, I'll have to go to his school again to get some paperwork done and make sure that he is coping with his first day in school. It's always never easy being a mom.

Ok, back to some scrappy news! I've actually posted links to both my classes in USA and Kuala Lumpur on the right of my blog. For those who wish to register for them, feel free to check it out! I hope to meet you all in person!! By the way, if you all ever see me, don't hesitate to give me a hug! I love hugs!!LOL! I would definitely prefer a hug over a hand shake anytime. I'm so excited for my upcoming trip to the USA! Now, I'm actually designing some make and takes for Scrapbooking Supplies R Us at the Pre-CHA Craft Supershow on the 23rd Jan 2010.
