This week Hiro is already 27 weeks. We've just picked him up today after boarding him for two nights at his usual boarding place. He likes it so much there that we've started to call that place as his godmother's home. So whenever we need to board him, we will say that he is going to visit his godmother...lol!
Look at that face. He is actually trying to beg for a lick of our food at that moment. Of course he failed as we don't want him to get sick because of that. Recently, we do found little patches of dandruff on him. I think it is some kind of skin problem but according to the grooming lady, she said it is fine. We just need to scrape it off from his skin and let it heal. Do you all have that problem with your furkids? Share it with me.
He is so beautiful!! Our lab used to have the same sort of problem with the flakiness..but the vet told us to switch dog shampoo and then it got better. Good luck!! He is a cutie!!

He is so gorgeous Irene!!
ReplyDeleteHere in Tennessee, fleas have been a horrible problem this year. My dog has allergies and has to have cortisone shots from time to time. If Hiro seems like he's itching, or if he's bleeding or has open sores, I would take him to your veterinarian and make sure he isn't having an allergy problem. Cortisone shots do wonders for my little poochie!!
It's kind of yucky but really is nothing to worry about. If you rub a litle bit of baby oil onto the spots and then use a fine toothed comb it should remove easily. It may or may not return as he grows. Hope that helps!

Oh your dog is gorgeous!!!! I did use to have a problem with my dog's skin....putting a little vegetable oil on their food can help....or getting an essential fatty acid capsule from the health food store is what the vet suggested to me.
ReplyDeleteI have a new pup!!! Well I've had him for 3 weeks now...he's my 3rd dog. I have one dog who is dying I fear so I wanted a 3rd in place to make it a bit easier when poor Maggie does leave us. Right now she's feeling well, but continuing to lose weight from her Addison's disease. Vet doesn't really know how long she will last though. He said sometimes they live longer than he expects. She's had this for 5 years now so I guess I should be happy she's lasted this long!!!
Hero is simply getting more & more handsome...
