Now I guess you all could foresee that there will be a lot of him in my future projects. All of you pet lovers out there, get ready for some fun inspirations from me. I've not scrap about any pets at all but I just can't wait to scrap about this cute little new family member of ours.
Oh, for those of you who do owned some kind of pet especially dogs, feel free to drop me a tip or two about housebreaking training. Have a great weekend.
Congrats on your new addition! I love my furbabies. Housebreaking can be tough especially with boys. Check out the net for some good advice. I do most of my mini books and such on my dogs cause my kid hides when the camera comes out. They are the cutest when they sleep.
ReplyDeleteHe is just beautiful!!!! Watch your shoes :O)
ReplyDeleteAwwww! Congratulations on the new family member. He is SO beautiful! Can't wait to see the new direction that he takes your fabulous scrapbooking art in! :O)
ReplyDeleteHi Irene.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new family member! I just got a puppy too and I can't wait to be inspired by what I know will be more amazing work from you. I'm also wanting to get started on puppy layouts/projects.
Hiro is absolutely adorable! Oh, you and your family will have so much fun with him! I believe animals teach us more than we can teach them. As for the house training, I'm at the beginning of this journey as well. The only thing that I have found really useful is to take them outside VERY frequently and lots of praise when they are sucessful. Good luck.
omg, he's just adorable! can't wait to see your projects!
ReplyDeleteHiro is so darn adorable! # 1 rule - have a crate for Hiro. It becomes their home and they don't like to make messes in them (get one for his full grown size, but partition it smaller while he grows). Buy a little clicker noise maker. Keep that and tiny treats in your pockets. Take Hiro out frequently. Click and treat for each good thing he does - bathroom outside, sitting & other commands. Dog Training for Dummy's has easy great training tips. Buy it! Good luck.
ReplyDeleteaww i love those dogs!!!
ReplyDeletethe cutest!! :D
Oh My! He is a cutie!!! As for housebreaking, keep him on a schedule. And when he does do his duty outside give him a small treat as a reward. Try to use the treats as a training tool so he can associate the treat with going to the bathroom outside. Don't use the treats for anything else untill he is trained. Good luck and I can't wait to see your pet layouts! Oh and one more word of advice.....any electrical cords needs to be out of site. Puppies will chew them to pieces. It becomes very expensive if you don't.
ReplyDeleteOMG - this little dog is so cute!!!

wow, Irene, he is so darn adorable. You and your family are going to love him! I cant wait to see your awesome creations of this guy! Good luck with Hiro!!
ReplyDeleteSo cute. We have a siberian husky too.... she's 7 now. Lots of fun as a puppy. Hide your shoes.... :) Sib's are notorious for chewing.... Our's chewed even the linoleum flooring and some carpet! Crate him is the best advice and get yourself a good vacuum! Hiro is the same colouring as our dog Tasha so black is now a colour we don't wear! They are good dogs - just make sure to establish who are the dominant ones in your household - Have the kids feed him and I know it sounds crazy - but this is how siberians do pack establishment is when he does something wrong - bite his ear! Crazy I know but it works! My hubby worked with over 100 siberians at a dogsledding company and this is how they do it! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable!
ReplyDeleteI agree w/ the crate training. I didn't do it this time. And am regretting it some w/ my 4 month old golden retriever.
I'm looking forward to your scrapbooking ideas for our pets....FUN!
Irene, He is the cutest. I can't wait to hear how he grows and how much fun the kids have with him as well as yourself and your husband. It will be fun to see how you scrap about him.Congratulations on the new addition to your family.
ReplyDeleteIndeed he is the cutest. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteHi from the Netherlands! What a cute little doggy. My Labrador Tim is already 13 years now.But his love is still great. The tips from sharingmydaze are also the tips I would give you. And go to a puppy training in the neighbourhood.
ReplyDeleteLove fom Tim and myself
Oh what a cutie! We have 5 dogs as pets and raise Goldens and Yorkies. My advice is to take her out as soon as she wakes up and if you take her to the same place that will be her spot forever. She also has to go out just after feeding. I would advice not to use paper in the house or anything like that. Have a wonderful time.
