Enjoy Card

This is just a fun joy fold card that I've created for a friend of mine. It's also for "Pandora Willow Tree" which will start business very soon. It will be a store which sells Magnolia stamps in the states. So keep an eye on this site for all your magnolia lovers. The magnolia on this card is a stamped image that had been sent to me by Ying. a great friend of mine. Thanks Ying!

Here are the steps to it.
1) This card is called a joy fold card because it had two separate pieces of cards attached together to form one card. The bigger card is actually a long rectangular card which had been folded to about a third of it on one side. The smaller card is a smaller rectangular card which had been folded into halves to make a square card.

2) First, try to decorate the front of the bigger card. I've added a strip of scalloped pattern paper which I've inked with distress ink, ribbon and stamped a flourish to it. I've also stitched around the edges of it.

3) Cover the inside of the big card with pattern paper.

4) Decorate the front of the smaller card. I've used the
"Crayon Resist" technique to create the center piece for the front and mat it with another card stock. I've also added a strip of ribbon on the upper left corner and some prima flowers.

5) Cover the inside of the small card with a piece of pattern paper.

6) Stamp a stem and on the right of the big card and add a prima flower to it too. I've coloured the magnolia image using watercolour pencils and had doodled on it's sweater. Then, I've stamped some grass on the bottom right of the card.

7) Attached the small card onto the big card in the middle allowing the flaps to overlaps each other as the picture above. You can add a Velcro under the front cover of the small card to secure the flaps.
