Water Distressing

I've actually explained about this technique in one of my old layout titled "Sweet girl". But recently I've received some emails asking me about this technique again referring to my recent "birthday card". Therefore, I've used this technique again in my latest layout and I will share the steps here.

1) Get a piece of plain coloured or white card stock. (Preferably in light colours). In my layout, I've used a white card stock which I've distressed it using the scissors distressing technique first.

2) Get a few colours of distress ink and inked randomly all over the card stock using sponge or an ink applicator (Ranger). In my layout, I've used some sponges and a few combination of distress ink to do it. (vintage photos, frayed burlap, tea dyed, scattered straw, brushed corduroy, aged mahogany and black soot)

3) I want to create a water distressed pattern paper for my layout. Therefore, I've stamped some images using some stamps and a few distress ink onto the card stock first.

4) Lastly, just used your fingers and some water to splatter randomly all over the inked and stamped card stock. Isn't this cool? Try it!

ok.. I have those extac foam stamps so I am going to try this, it kind of reminds me of my watercolors... I think that is why I like a lot of your techniques there are a lot similar to painting with watercolors... which is what I do, never much thought about combining the two! :O) but I love the end result!!!
