International Greetings ~ pg 13 and 14

These are page 13 and 14 of my recent mini album titled International Greetings. These pages are actually on a postcard from one of my friend from Perth, Western Australia.

I've used the pinks and purples in the postcard for both pages here. I've randomly stamped some designs on all the pattern papers on page 13 and 14 and had added some sequins on all the flowers for a little blings too.

On pg 14, I've masked a frame around the postcard and had added some butterflies stampings to it for more interesting look.

International Greetings ~ pg 11 and 12

These are page 11 and 12 of my recent mini album titled International Greetings. These pages are actually on a postcard from one of my friend from Georgia, USA.
The colours on the postcard which resembles the colours of the flag of USA had really inspired me. With that I've used the combination of blue, red and white on both pages.
On pg 11, I've retained most of the background white and to create some textures and designs to it, I've used the masking technique. I've masked a row of stacked hearts on the right of the page and some swirls on the top. I've multi layered my flower on pg 11 by using some sequins and inserting them in layers in between the two flowers of red and white. This had really add some blings to the page.
I've also used the red, blue and white colours on pg 12. I've used the masking technique here again to create some depth and design on this page.

International Greetings ~ pg 9 and 10

These are page 9 and 10 of my recent mini album titled International Greetings. These pages are actually on a postcard from one of my friend from Minneapolis, USA.

I've wanted to try to create a background with some depths for this beautiful postcard. Therefore, I've used various techniques here. Besides my all time favourite of inking and masking, I've also used the cutting out technique here. (Refer to "Design your Papers By Cutting Out" in my tips and tricks section)

I've multi layered my flower on pg 9 by cutting out some flower petals from various pattern papers.

On pg 10, I've also used lots of masking technique to brighten up the dark background.

Design your Papers By Cutting Out

In my recent page 9 of my "International Greetings" mini album which is in my other gallery, I've created my own pattern paper by cutting out parts of the pattern papers that I've used.
Here are what I've done.
1. I've selected a few pattern papers that I want to used for my background.
2. Then I've cut out some chunks of leaves designs at the side of those strips of pattern papers before pasting it down on my white card stock. Later, I've cut out some self made leaves masks to do some masking on parts of the white card stock too.
3. Lastly, I've also add those masks as part of the background.
This technique had created some unique depths on the background paper.

International Greetings ~ pg 7 and 8

These are page 7 and 8 of my recent mini album titled International Greetings. These pages are actually on a postcard from one of my friend from Halmstad, Sweden. The majority of blues in the postcard had actually inspired me to use it for these two pages.

For pg 7, I've created the detail in the middle of the flower design using the stamping and masking technique. (Refer to "Details using Masking and Stamping" in my tips and tricks section.)

For pg 8, I've used a spirograph design to balance the look of the page and add some doodling all over the page. I've journaled along the scalloped circle on the top left hand corner of the page.
