Are you all anxiously waiting for my third project with "Queenscraps" August Kit? This is my third project with that awesome kit. Don't you think Ryan is a charmer in that photograph? It just melts my heart. This is also a very fast and simple page. Try to follow through the steps and you'll achieved the results liked mine easily.
Here are the steps.
1) Use the "Zinnia Swirl" pattern paper as your background for the layout. Distress the edges using the scissors distressing technique and ink it with brushed corduroy distress ink.
2) Add a strip of "Letter Stripes" pattern paper horizontally in the center of the page. Again, distress it with scissors distressing technique and ink it with frayed burlap distress ink.
3) Cut out a square piece from the "Bazzill September Bling" card stock. Use a small scallop decorative scissors to scalloped one edge of the card stock. Distress it using the scissors distressing technique and ink it with brushed corduroy distress ink. Paste it towards the right of the page.
4) Cut out a small rectangular piece from the Auckland card stock and distress it using the scissors distressing technique. Ink it using frayed burlap distress ink. Attach it to the upper left corner of the September Bling card stock.
5) Distress your photograph using the scissors distressing technique again and ink it with brushed corduroy distress ink. Use a zig pen and doodle around the photograph. Paste it to the layout as per the picture above.
6) Cut out a wiggly strip from the "Blue and Ivory Damask" pattern paper. You can use any try to hand draw these wiggle shapes or you could buy some very cheap templates at some dollar stores. Ink the edges using brushed corduroy distress ink.
7) Use a zig pen or any black doodling pen to doodle some zig-zag stitches on the left of the photograph all the way to the top slightly above the September Bling card stock. Doodle some flourishes too on the right of the page and the bottom of the photograph.
8) Add a strip of adhesive paper ribbon at the bottom of the September Bling card stock and continue to the end of the card stock with some hand doodled lines.
9) Create two tags from the Auckland card stock and the Champagne card stock. Ink the edges with frayed burlap distress ink and brushed corduroy distress ink.
10) Add a chipboard button from the kit to anchor the tags. I've also doodled some circles around it.
11) On the left of the page, I've doodled some squares. The word "Charm" had been cut out using the "Blue and Ivory Damask" and "Green Floral Damask" pattern papers as well as the Auckland card stock. Ink the edges with brushed corduroy distress ink and paste them to your layout using some foam adhesive for more dimension.
12) The word "Your" is doodled using a zip pen on the "Blue and Ivory Damask"pattern paper and matted using the Auckland card stock. I've also inked all edges using brushed corduroy distress ink.
So, how do you like my third project? Hope you all would try it.
